Sophie Morgan is Curvy Kate’s Star in a Bra!

Sophie Morgan wins Curvy Kate Star in a Bra 2012After the fiercest UK Star in a Bra battle to date, the gorgeous Sophie Morgan has been crowned as Curvy Kate’s Star in a Bra 2012. She succeeds the ever wonderful Lizzie Haines as queen of curves, and will represent the brand for the next year.

I’m extra pleased because Sophie was also my personal number one choice. All the ladies in the top ten were stunning, but specifically it was this in her interview that made me click for her:

“I do believe that I have the passion, the confidence and the brains not just to model Curvy Kate, but to live and breathe everything that it stands for. [...] Because of the competition, people have been listening to what I have to say, reading the things I write and actually acknowledging that we NEED society to present more varied body types to women and young girls. We need this shift in social mindset so that we can bring forth a generation of strong, confident women, with the guts to take the power back from the media and the fashion industry who have made us feel so unworthy, and stand up and be counted!

“Having experienced really low times because of my self-image in the past, coming out of it to find myself here, in my pants, laughing and smiling and showing off my body to the world, has been one of the most positive things I have ever done…I just want the opportunity to be involved in anything that can make other women and young girls like me feel the same way, and realise that beauty is all about how you feel..not how you look!”

In her winners’ speech she added:

‘I believe it is vital for our society to make a shift in the way we view women and the way women are portrayed in the media and fashion industry. Now more than ever we need brands like Curvy Kate to acknowledge that we want  to see more varied portrayals of the female body, so that girls no longer grow up comparing themselves to such a narrow ideal of what beauty can be.’

Brains, passion, and a cracking attitude to boot. I love her. Congratulations Sophie!

The Third Way: How Brands Can Advise on Bra Size

$
0
0

I am certain that bad fitting advice issued by irresponsible bra brands is responsible for every single ill fitting bra and every minute of bra-wearing misery known to women. Which is why from Playtex to Gossard to (now) Curvy Kate on New Look – I spend so much time and energy battling against misleading, incomplete and downright bad fitting advice from lingerie websites. Of course, there is no substitute for a good fit from a good fitter – but in a reality where many women prefer or can only get their fitting advice online instead of in a respectable fitting room, and where sadly some fitters aren’t totally reliable themselves, what can a brand do to ensure women have the tools they need to find a bra they can actually love? Somewhere between terrible bra size calculators and boutqiue lingerie fitting services, is there a third way?

In an ideal world, of course, we’d have the technology to turn your webcam on right now (hello!) and map your exact shape and measurements before issuing you with a bra size guide you could trust. But sadly, along with my teleport and robot companion, this doesn’t exist yet. So we must make the best of what we have: brains, the internet, and lingerie brand websites. Dear bra bands the world over: here’s how to do it better (until the future arrives).

1: First things first: get it right!

Figleaves Lingerie Badly Fitting Bras

I am staggered that certain lingerie companies don’t seem to give a damn about showing what their bras look like properly fitted. All too often, bra merchandisers seem only too happy to sign off on absurdly squished boobs, rogue wires or other fit faux pas, or try and mask the problem by airbrushing the poor women two dimensional.

It’s simple. Get the fit right in the pictures, and not only does your product look more desirable and less like something used to torture confessions from witches, but it helps women understand what they’re aspiring to and find that fit that they will love, tell people about, and buy again and again. If you care about your customers loving your product, lead by example.

2: Now let’s get to business: the visual guide

Bravissimo Bra Guide

This is essential – and if you’ve been showing off your wares on poorly fitted models for years you owe it to your customers (and future brand ambassadors if you get this right) to show them how it should be done.

By calling out common bra bugbears like the dreaded quadraboob, shoulder-slicing straps, sagging cups, poking wires or wriggling back bands, you have the opportunity to help women discover how to correct their fit and understand why it’s not working in the first place. Bravissimo (above) have one of the best examples of this around: read it and be inspired.

FREE TOP TIP! Certain fit barbarians won’t even have to pay for new “wrong” photos – just use the horrendous examples you’ve been modelling for years! Huzzah!

3: Give them a starting point.

Theory of Relativity. And Bras

This is the most controversial part of the guide, but one I know many brands – especially ones selling online – feel is needed. To clarify: this shouldn’t exist if point two isn’t in place and if the number and letter it provides doesn’t scream STARTING POINT! before sending them back to point two to work out the details.

I (and science!) believe that most women are not best served by the +4/5/6″ fitting method. What your ideal bra band size will be depends on everything from your physique, your shape, your age, and even the brand or style of bra you’re trying. However, in the interests of neutrality if you’re going to give women a starting point, it should just be that – the underbust measurement +0 inches. One woman may need to +4, another may even need to -4 – the key allowing that journey to start at a starting point – not halfway down a road that may be the wrong direction.

This is not [nor has it ever been - check out the manifesto here] about replacing one arbitrary calculator with another, but about enabling women to start their fitting journey in a more helpful place. A numerical guide should only exist in tandem with the visual – and with clear instructions to take this starting point and apply the checks rigorously to find that perfect fit.

A perfect fitting bra can be life changing, and all lingerie brands owe it to the women who support their businesses to help them find that perfect match. Getting the advice you give right isn’t a huge investment, and it’s one worth making. Women who love their fit love their lingerie – and are loyal to the brands that make it. This isn’t just about doing right by your customers. This is investing in your brand for the future.

Can I tempt you? Curvy Kate’s scarlet Showgirl reviewed

ImageCurvy Kate’s unstoppable rise to global domination may have been spearheaded by its ingenious Star in a Bra model search competition , but it’s its incredibly popular lingerie (especially the hugely popular Showgirl collection) that is the real power behind the throne.

But for some reason, in spite of its inexorable popularity in the wider blogging community, I’d never managed to try it myself. Disgraced, I used my recent Brastop splurge to rectify this absurd oversight.

Tempt Me is definitely more, erm, bordello-y than I usually wear every day, but it is precisely the bright colours, extravagant details, and boudoir finish that make it such a popular style. There’s a huge amount of detailing involved for such an inexpensive bra: Tempt Me has satin button details, detailed patterned lace overlaying the satin cups, and bows all vying for attention. Not that once on any onlookers would stand a chance of noticing – because it really does give an astonishing cleavage.

Tempt Me Curvy Kate Close

The cups are slightly wide set, though with such a narrow center gore this didn’t pose as many problems as a balconette style might. The back is nice and snug, although judging by my slight quadraboob and side-spill it runs slightly small in the cup. It might be worth sizing up there – I definitely need a 30GG to avoid any escapage.

It’s an extremely dramatic bra and a very deep plunge – and there’s no doubt that Tempt Me is not a bra for wallflowers or people standing near others operating heavy machinery. This is a bra designed to be noticed. But it’s also designed to be comfortable and supported, and – most importantly - fun. It is bordello, but its sexiness is sincere and not cliche (or itchy) in the way some other *cough, Ann Summers, cough* high street attempts at ‘sexiness’ can be. A cracking litte bra for the brave.

Oh, and on another note I love silly high waisted pants. A girl can never have too many high waisted pants. More of those, please.

Tempt Me is available in a wide range of sizes, from 28-38 D-J (with some exceptions). But more exciting is this new midnight colourway for Autumn (available September 12) – which simply by not being red is less bordello and more oo helloooo. One to watch.

Less than thrilled: my adventures with Curvy Kate’s Showgirl continue…

curvy-kate-thrill-me-peach-plum-padded-bra(2)

My adventures with Curvy Kate’s hugely popular Showgirl range continue with Thrill Me. Is it as tempting as Tempt Me?

Er, no. This doesn’t happen very often, but I just don’t really like this bra at all. In terms of fit it’s fine, although it is HUGE in the back so size down there and size up in the cup. I can find balconette styles tricky (a bony and slightly flared rib cage can be a nightmare in this style), and in spite of that it seems comfortable enough. But could I see myself choosing this over my other bras, ever? I doubt it.

I’m all for frivolity, but Thrill Me goes beyond thrilling and verges on the hysterical. It feels like a bra trying way too hard. There’s so much going on – satin shine, ribbon, ruffles, bows, spidery lace – all of which render this bra utterly useless for me to wear under clothes. And that’s before you consider the cleavage. I like making an impact once in a while, but my boobs haven’t looked so huge – or broad – since rescuing them from E-cups. Sure, the cleavage is effective if you need to stop traffic – but it’s so distracting that I feel reduced to a pair of tits on legs. Not the best feeling.

There’s been a lot of love for Thrill Me in the past, but it just leaves me cold. Interestingly enough it has not made a reappearance in 2012 either, although Tease Me (below) is remarkable similar (fussy, frilly, though marginally less shiny), and supposedly with similar sizing idiosyncrasies. I’ll have to try that to see if Curvy Kate can convert me to their hardcore Showgirl fanclub yet…

Thrill Me is still available from outlets like Brastop in a variety of sizes.

Krista Cousins wins Curvy Kate USA Star in a Bra

Congratulations to the super-cute Krista Cousins for winning Curvy Kate’s very first US Star in a Bra contest, hotly followed by runners up and blogging superstars Cristyen Fowler and Brittany Jencks, who came in second and third respectively.

Krista entered this competition “to prove to the world that women are beautiful in all colors, all shapes, and all sizes” – and quickly established herself as a curve champion with a home-made pro-body diversity promotion video (complete with winning smile and cape) called “Vote Krista and You’ll Know It”.

Of course, no Star in a Bra contest would be complete without a dramatic makeover: Krista entered as a 34/36F and was crowned as a 30GG: striking a victory against bad bra fitting in the States. As Curvy Kate ambassador, let’s hope Krista is an inspiration to many to shrug off their uncomfortable boulder-holders and discover just how empowering and uplifting a perfect fit can be.

Congratulations to all of the finalists, and to Krista: enjoy your year as queen!

Midnight feast: Curvy Kate’s Tempt Me in blue reviewed

Curvy Kate Tempt Me Midnight BraTempt Me is far and away my favourite from Curvy Kate‘s unstoppable Showgirl collection, and since reviewing the scarlet colourway a while back I’ve been dying to get my hands on the new Midnight Blue colour…. until this week, when a Curvy Kate shaped parcel landed on my desk. The mailroom, I suspect, is on to me…

First things first. I usually review all bras in what I think of as my ‘starting point’ – a 30G. This is to create a relative ‘standard’ by which to judge bras, to make bra shopping easier for anyone using my reviews as a tool (*hello!*).  Fit is, however, not standardised – so it’s important to remember your ‘right size’ will fluctuate, depending on brand, style and cut. Having recently reviewed Tempt Me however, I know already it runs small in the cup. Instead of making the same miss twice, I went for the 30GG this time.

And oh my G-cups… I love it. My lingerie style isn’t usually this, er, obvious; but for Tempt Me I can make an exception. The blue and black together are a stroke of genius: rich, luxe and flattering without being cliched – this bra is a treat for the eyes and the cleavage. Oh, the cleavage…

The GG cup was exactly the right call, giving the a perfectly uplifted and fitted (and yowzers) cleavage without any quadraboob. The extremely low scooped center is extremely comfortable (for me as a flared ribbed girl, at least), and gives the illusion of your boobs being suspended almost in mid-air. The back is decently firm (I could take a notch tighter, but it’s not enough to make me crave a 28 back) and for what looks like a wholly impractical bedroom bra, it’s extremely soft and comfortable on.  Topped off with pretty satin bows and buttons – and some wonderfully silly suspender pants-  this is a perfect bra to cheer you up as the darkness closes in. All I need is an open fire (or effective central heating, let’s be real…), a glass of wine and a scrabble set, and I’m set for winter. LOVE.

Tempt Me in Midnight Blue is widely available in sizes 28-30 D-J, 32 D-HH, 34 D-H, 36 D-GG, 38 D-G.

The eye of the beholder: Curvy Kate’s Daily Boost reviewed

Curvy Kate Daily Boost Bra Reviewed

In an ideal world, we would all judge each other on the merits of our character and actions rather than the arbitrary outcomes of the great genetic tombola that makes up our outsides. That said when it comes to lingerie, increasingly I need more than a good fit and compatibility. It’s not enough to just be a good bra. I need it to be beautiful-on-the-outside too.

Curvy Kate’s Daily Boost is a much loved bra by many other boob bloggers, and blindfolded it’s not hard to understand why. Slightly moulded, it is soft and supportive, everyday-ishly comfortable, and gives a great silhouette with a firm, uplifted support. I accidentally ordered a 30GG, which proved to be the perfect size for me – I would have had an uncomfortable four-boob situation had I received my usual review/starter size of 30G. So be prepared to size up in the cups to find your perfect fit.

Alas, fickle reviewer that I am, as perfectly as Curvy Kate’s Daily Boost fits me, I can’t get over how unattractive she is, both on and off. I’ve wrestled with my reasoning on this long and hard, but however comfortable and well-suited she is to me I can’t see beyond the way she looks. It’s a fairly irrational response to what is a fairly plain and inoffensive bra. She’s basic, sure – but not repellent. There are no perverse/tacky/itchy details. There are no t-shirt spoiling seams or oddly shaped wires. It does not make me look like an old lady, or a quarter way through the mummification process.

But when it comes down to it the Daily Boost simply, unshakeably, reminds me of my first bras. Those bras, which fit badly (thanks M&S!) and only came in boxes. That were shiny and unsexy and made me feel freakish and huge. That were my only option, because on the high street in 1997 there really weren’t options over a D cup. Daily Boost may be four million times better than those first bras, but just looking at her reminds me of the bad old days. Which is unfair to you, dear reader, because it skews my judgement when it comes to writing this. Objectively, the Daily Boost is a perfectly fine bra. She’s just – in this incarnation at least – not for me. Not anymore.

Daily Boost is widely available in sizes 28-40 D-K.

Princess and the pea: Curvy Kate’s classic reviewed

Princess by Curvy Kate

Like a fairytale, Curvy Kate‘s Princess bra is a classic and – as it prepares to launch in to yet another two seasons – certainly aiming to be as timeless. With its signature ribbon stitching along the cup and its simple, everyday shape, Princess continues to win loyal fans… but Busts 4 Justice here still hadn’t managed to try it. I know, I know.

But finally, I have here in my paws – in this beautiful teal colour with a pink ribbon trim. Regular readers will know that I always try bras in what I understand to be my ‘size zero’ – as in, my bra size as calculated without adding inches to my underbust measurement – of a 30G. This tends to be a reliable starting point, and the most consistent way to gauge how a bra fits compared to others. But equally reliably, I find a lot of Curvy Kate styles to run slightly small in the cup – so as with my review of the Daily Boost and Tempt Me I ordered a 30GG. I’m glad I did – once again, sizing up by one in the cup works perfectly for Curvy Kate. Does anyone else share my need to consistently size up with this brand?

The 30GG is spot on size wise, and gives a perfectly rounded shape and a natural cleavage – less ‘full cup and trussed up’ than similar-ish style Portia. The cups are angled slightly so it does rather make the boobs point outwards (not Madonna style, but certainly retro). This style can work well for wide set breasts – and indeed the center wires are much wider than you find on other brands. The underwire tracks comfortably along my body, and the support is fantastic. My only niggle – my pea in this vibrant lacy fairytale – is that the seaming along that signature ribbon is a little irritating at first. It’s an easy nuisance to forget, but it does make the bra feel a little cheaper than it looks. Still, the rich colour certainly brightened this bitter grey day – I think I can take a moment of rough with this smooth.

Curvy Kate’s Princess is widely available in a range of colours and in sizes 28-40 D-K (although you can often grab a great deal at Brastop). Keep your eyes peeled for this beautiful Orchid colour – getting ready to drag you out of the darkness and in to spring.

So I’ve never needed an excuse to look at swimwear (it’s an addiction), but in a week I’ve had three SOS messages from women struggling to find nice swimwear in G+ sizes. All three said previously swimwear shopping had reduced them to tears, and I can’t help but sympathise (me too) and also swear vengeance (never again).

So here are twelve of my favourite swimwear picks to look out for in 2013 so far (like I said, addiction)… according to the middle of the alphabet. Full marks to Curvy Kate for bringing colour and prints to the Ks, to Freya for once again blowing my mind like eight times, and to Panache for Tallulah’s a-m-a-z-i-n-g high waisted knickers. It’s not even summer yet! *hyperventilates*

Curvy Kate Princess Orchid

Not long after writing this review of Curvy Kate’s Princess bra did team CK reach out to me to let me know that the fitting nuances I’d noted in my review – namely that it ran slightly small – would be resolved in the new season Princess style. Quite a promise from a brand who does typically run slightly large: but is it true?

Interestingly enough, it is. Although the band could be a little bit firmer, the wide three-hooked support gives good support while the cup fits much ‘truer’ to size than previously. The underwire tracks perfectly, and though pastel purple isn’t usually my cup of tea I have to say this is my favourite Curvy Kate bra to date.

It’s not just the fit. The style is slightly different too: the cups seem closer together in the center – much more comfortable for a close set girl like me – and it doesn’t have the same outwards east-west pointing as it did before.

In many ways, Princess seems to have been engineered precisely to my tastes. It suits my figure better, it’s infinitely more comfortable on my ribs, and gives my favourite rounded everyday shape. Good news for me – although I wonder what old die hard fans of the style will make of it. Have any of my Curvy Kate loving readers tried it yet?

Curvy Kate’s new orchid purple Princess is available in an extended range of sizes from 28-40 D-K, 42-44 D-G.

BETTY BRA: TUTTI ROUGE

A mega Bravissimo order on potential bras for my wedding was the perfect opportunity to audition honeymoon lingerie while I was at it…. And as Tutti Rouge’s Betty – with its floral and frilly chintz – is exactly what the soon to be officially Mr B4J loves in a pair of undercrackers (much to my horror, I have to say…) – I had to give it a try for him.

This is the second bra I’ve tried from the very new lingerie brand (I loved their debut Lilliana – find my review of her here) – and once again the fit is pretty strong. The back is firm, the cups ran true to size at a 30G, and she gives a fantastically uplifted cleavage.

As with Lilliana, the straps are refreshingly skinny although a little too wide set for my frame – and with a relatively wide set center she’ll appeal to Curvy Kate fans concerned that old classics with the same shape are evolving to be closer set in the middle. As a piece of engineering, she’s a great.

But. The frills. It is possibly the frilliest lingerie set I’ve ever tried. Tufts of lace emerge at every opportunity – especially on the knickers which are rendered essentially unwearable under lighter clothing. I also personally didn’t like the feeling of the lace at the bottom of the band – it was scratchy and made me feel like I had grown mould.

Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with a little bit of frilly flair if that’s your jam… but it’s definitely not mine. Betty made me feel like a doily – and however much Mr B4J may think he likes that sort of thing it’s not how I want to spend my first days of my married life.

Bit of a disappointment for me – but considering fit and how much I loved Lilliana I’m still excited by this new brand. Just please, hold the trimmings for me next time would you?

Tutti Rouge’s Betty is available in sizes 28-38 DD-HH.

Panache Silhouette Shaping One Piece Swimsuit

Isobel by Panache Swimwear, 28-40 D-K

Help Me Busts 4 Justice!

I am looking for a nice swimsuits that will fit my bra size which is 36 K. Please help me find what I’m looking for.

S

Hey S,

Apologies for the slow response: as those around me are no doubt sick of hearing I’m getting married in three weeks, and between work and wedmin there’s not all that much room left in my brain for bras.

That said, a girl needs a break. What better way to unravel my over-taxed brain cells than a little bit of swimwear related research…?

I’m sorry to be the bearer of disappointing news but K-cup swimwear – especially K-Cup swimsuits – are still a rare breed, so you don’t have quite as much choice as I would love to be able to deliver here (not least because a couple of the styles I found have already sold completely out).

That said, it’s not totally hopeless. Panache do a classic, almost 50′s silhouetted Isobel in sizes 28-40 D-K (above). It’s plain, but I think the neckline brings an interesting and elegant detail to what could be a boring black costume. And if that’s too – well, black – the San Marino swimsuit by Bravissimo is brighter option for your holiday wardrobe.

Bravissimo San Marino Swimsuit

San Marino swimsuit by Bravissimo, 30-38 DD-K

Tankinis can also be a great alternative – offering a similar amount of coverage but much more flexibility in sizes that with a one-piece. This Paradise Red tankini by Curvy Kate, and this Cape Verde tankini also by Bravissimo are bright (if not mind-blowing) alternatives. And if you prefer a print and feel like being a shade braver with a flash of tummy, you could even try this cute pineapple print Coco Palm suit by Bravissimo too.

I’m sorry it’s not the biggest selection – but one thing I’ll say is that swimsuit ranges and size options have consistently improved every summer for the last four years. This year, J-Cup swimwear is nearly commonplace. If demand is proven (and sell-out sizes suggest it is), then K-Cups could be hot on their heels.

Good luck and let me know how you get on,

Curvy Kate’s Roxie bra reviewed!

Curvy Kate Roxie Padded PlungeI wasn’t ever a huge fan of Curvy Kate‘s earlier Tease Me/Tempt Me/Truss Me (I made that one up) Showgirl series so I’ve quite enjoyed their recent lines – simple and unfussy styles with the odd mega-plunge for days that need an extra oomph.  Roxie is definitely one of my favourites from this season – a pretty, deep padded plunge bra which gives a killer cleavage in something that serves as a cute alternative to your average moulded plunge.

The plunge is extremely deep which makes it great for low necklines (not to mention my problematic bony sternum, which stops me wearing many of Curvy Kate’s higher cut styles), but the scalloping along the cup stops it from being too severe. I really like the “sherbet” underlay beneath the black – you can’t tell from the pictures but it’s actually a subtle, dusty pink and quite pretty. The back could be a little firmer perhaps, but the cup fits perfectly – and like many of Curvy Kate’s styles the far-apart straps are perfect for broader women (although not so wide that they slipped off my quite narrow shoulders).

I actually love this bra, but I’m not keeping it. It’s the weirdest thing… Roxie is the LOUDEST bra I have ever worn. Seriously. It creaks with every tiny move. On closer inspection, it seems to be the covering the metal on the bra rings and strap lengtheners squeaking against the ribbon straps. Who knows, perhaps it would ease away with wear. But it would drive me bonkers in the process.

Curvy Kate’s Roxie is available in sizes 28-30 D-J, 32 D-HH, 34 D-H, 36 D-GG and 38 D-G.

Figleaves Boudoir Tease

Weird. In a recent review of Curvy Kate’s Roxie I said I didn’t miss their Showgirl range. But it would seem however that Figleaves did – because while Tease Me is gone, Tease is back – reanimated by Figleaves Boudoir for 2014.

To be fair to Figleaves it’s not a carbon copy and I suspect (hope) the name is just a coincidence. But the jewel tones, fussy lace overlay, and odd frills that refuse to rest happily under clothes mean that Tease has me flashing back to everything I didn’t like about the hugely popular range by Curvy Kate. Those mourning Showgirl’s disappearance, take note…

It’s worth saying that this bra gets stellar reviews on Figleaves’ website, from girls who are also a 30G. But I really did not get on with this it. Like other reviewers, I found the back too tight, but this effect was exacerbated by the super skinny two-hook fastening which – dropping from quite a tall side cup – forced the back band in to quite a sharp angle and to dig in. It’s also small in the front, which comes with the dual bonus of thrusting one’s cleavage chinwards and over-emphasising the only partially attached lace underneath clothes. I suppose if I liked the bra more I might try a 32G, but the plain truth is this bra does nothing for me. It’s much prettier and delicate on this model (and presumably, in a smaller size) in the flesh. On, I just felt like I was in raggedy showgirl fancy dress. And for a bra that retails at nearly £50, that’s not good enough for me.

Figleaves Boudoir’s Tease is available in sizes 30B-36G. I have to say: Curvy Kate did it better.

New Year Firecracker: Curvy Kate plunge bra reviewed

Curvy Kate Firecracker Plunge Bra

A perfect fit is much more nuanced than a letter and a number. Being full up top or full up bottom, having wide set breasts or ones that sit close together – these are all perfectly normal variations that will mean your perfect fit is different from someone else with the same bra size. For me, it’s the shape of my rib cage. It’s bony and it flares at the bottom.

This is not something you would notice, or not something that remotely bothers me. It just is. And specifically, it is the reason that many balconette bras don’t work for me. It’s a bummer because I love balconette styles, but anything with too tall a centre gore won’t sit properly on my sternum and after a few short minutes of wear I’m tearing it from my body.

Which is why Curvy Kate’s Firecracker leaped off the screen and in to my basket. It’s a deep, deep plunge bra – but with a lace detail and shape that makes it for everyday that for show-stopping cleavage moments.

In my usual 30G I found it fractionally big in the cup which made the lace baggy, but after adjusting the straps it wasn’t really noticeable. The 3-hook back was nice and firm. My only gripe was the feel of it. CK describe the cup as being “laminated for firm support”, which it certainly does give – but it feels a little plasticky with it. I also struggle with the matching undercracker options – I love a frill as much as the next girl, but I also need knickers that don’t give me VPL at 20 paces.

On balance, though it’s not for me Firecracker really is a really good bra – it gives a flattering, subtle cleavage with a great, comfortable support. It’s also dirt cheap over on Brastop right now, if you’re looking for a bargain…

More of this shape in future, Curvy Kate!
